Description
Here being offered is a vintage fullsize violin from an estate. I know very little of its history or origin. The label inside reads " Emanuele Bausch Firenze". I am not sure if it is of German origin or Italian. I am not sure if this is the maker or if it was made by any other maker. In my opinion it is beautiful with highly figured maple back and sides and tight grain spruce top. The top shows a crack right next to the tailpiece, looks like it was reglued at one time. That is it for cracks that I can see. The back shows a small chip on the edge by one of the points as I have pictured. I'm sure the next owner would more than likely put new strings on it. Nice inlaid tailpiece. We are not offering this sale with any professional evaluation or claim, we know very little about antique violins and strictly rely on what ever research we can find on particular brands or woods. Appears to be an upper quality instrument, not student and also appears to be very well made. May be from late 1800's or early 1900's, not exactly sure of exact date it was made. This is an estate sale item and being sold as we received it with no warranties or returns so please ask questions if you need more info and we will do our best to answer them. We are pricing this item conservatively based on what we have found in research . Pictures are part of the description.
