Ceramic dog figurine Spaniel grey white on base with pheasant Japan? Otagiri?

Description

This is a nice ceramic dog figurine - a spaniel with a pheasant in his mouth. It's glossy finish white and grey, but there are some yellow highlights on the fowl that aren't glossy, so perhaps that part was cold painted. The sticker is missing, but I guess it may be Japan or Otagiri? Good condition except for a chip on the bottom on the back of the base, and a blue mark on the back.
