Antique French violin labeled Lutherie Artistique Jean-Baptiste Colin, anne 1895. The length of the back is 14 1/2". Overall length is 23". Comes with a case and two bows. The back features tigered wood with lovely patina, has residue of black felt that has adhered to the back. The bridge, etc is secured with an elastic band. One of the curls at the top of the handle is missing. This is a great restorable violin. Black bridge displays mother of pearl floral inlay. The case has wear along the edges with labels affixed to the case and loss to the black leatherette on the face of the case. The two bows are in fair condition with one being marked Made In Germany. Both. have wear to the finish.
