Description
German-made Antonius Stradivarius ViolinFull size German made violin labeled: “Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1736”, with a second label which reads “Germany”. The top is fine grained spruce, nicely flamed maple back and ribs, ebony fingerboard, rosewood tailpiece, pegs and chin-rest, E string fine tuner. Violin has been professionally set up, and features Dominant strings. In generally good condition with wear commensurate for its age, which is estimated to be in the 60-70 year range, the neck has been reset at some point in its history. This can be seen in the close up photo of the heel area of the back of the neck, and the photos where the neck joins the ribs on each side. The repair is solid, and does not affect the playability. Priced considerably less as a result, this handsome violin is the perfect instrument for the intermediate to advanced player who wants a German made violin without the high price tag. Fitted case included.
