Description
Gem of a violin, constructed by Kiso Suzuki in Japan in 1982. This vintage instrument is a copy of a Stradivarius, number 7. There are some tiny, near imperceptible dings and some scuffing along parts of the edging, as well as a crack in the finish on the front, on the lower bout, beneath the hole, but it does not descend into the wood. These minor cosmetic imperfections are reflected in the price. It seems to be in excellent condition, though there may be some adjustments required, as with all vintage violins - I am certainly not an expert, and it's possible there are issues I'm unaware of. The bow is basic, but appears straight and in good shape - though may need the hair re-tightened or replaced. The hard case is in excellent condition, with just the slightest signs of wear - all the hinges and clasps work well, and the plush orange interior is sound. A beautiful instrument from a well respected maker, perfect for a young enthusiast.
