are a type of legume native to Asia.

has been part of traditional Asian diets for thousands of years. In fact, there’s evidence that soybeans were grown in China as early as 9,000 BC.

, soy is widely consumed, not only as a source of plant-based protein but also as an ingredient in many processed foods.

Chunks also called Textured Soy Protein (TSP), Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP). It is a vegan alternative to beef, pork or chicken. These are unflavored dry soy chunks. There is no added color or flavor to these chunks which makes it very easy to use in any dish you like and it will take the flavor of that dish.
--To
use Textured Soy Protein, You need to rehydrate the protein in hot water for 2-8minutes. Squeeze out the excess water and use this Textured Soy Protein to replace meat in any recipe. After rehydration, it can be stored for 2-3 days in the refrigerator. After rehydration, the volume of chunks increases by 1.5-2 times.

Method of Preparation
--Soya
in salted hot water for 5 minutes and strain away the excess water.
--Wash
with cold water and squeeze soya thoroughly.
--Add
flavour mix (flavour mix sachet included in soya packet) and let it maintain 3 minutes.
--Heat
oil (10ml) and temper ground ginger and garlic, rampe , curry leaves, onions and green chilies.
--Add
marinated soya and temper for 3 minutes.
--Add
1 cup of water (200ml) and add tamarind or tomatoes and simmer for 3 minutes.
