  • Condition: This Violin is in good condition considering its age which is at least 79 years old . This is a playable instrument. I recently set it up with new strings a different bridge and a new tailpiece tie . See picture and ask questions. The fingerboard is most likely not ebony the back is 2 pieces of fiddle back maple. The tuners are likely original. The tailpiece is old the end pin is old, chin rest is old . soundpost is in place.The Neck is just a faux flame finish probably maple. It is in good condition but it has been around a long time and shows some light wear. Comes in and old case. No bow included. I will answer any questions you may have. See pictures they give a good idea of its condition. It sounds good but I would consider it just a good intermediate grade instrument. When you consider this violins age it is good condition. I see no repairs No separations and only the one short tight top crack pretty nice for 80-100 years old. SEE PICS

    Description

    1920 30's  VINTAGE STRADIVARIUS STYLE    4/4 SIZE VIOLIN  23+ INCHES IN GOOD CONDITION
    This Violin is a 4/4 size violin. It shows light use & only 1 very tight  3" top crack that runs from the saddle forward about 3 inches it is very  & playable and it sounds fine. I installed a new set of strings and a new  tailpiece tie it has  one fine tuner it would be best if it had 4 fine tuners I will leave that to the new owner.  I think this one is in  good  shape for it age with almost no real use. The Neck is carved from some Non Flame maple wood with a faux neck finish.  If you have any questions about size please verify it before you agree to purchase. This one is Approx. 23" total length.  Fiddleback maple back and sides spruce top.
