Description
VINTAGE MEXICAN BULLWHIPThis offering is for one (1) vintage Mexican bullwhip. I purchased from a vendor in Tijuana Mexico around 1966-1967.
Never really used, except to try. Mainly hung on a wall for display for a few years and packed away until now for about 52 years. I suspect made by a Mexican artisan along with other local items, like a stuffed frog in a sombrero standing and playing a saxophone.
The frog unfortunately did not survive the years. This is certainly a utilitarian item by a local, representing a way of supporting a family via the tourist trade. It was a unique time which till today provides vivid memory of a Midwestern boy south of the boarder, vivid color, congestion, dust, street vendors, music everywhere, clay and brick buildings, and hawkers vying for your attention and money.
This was a true cultural experience of the time.
We are not dealers or collectors. I am purging everything so this must go.
Once a bid is awarded, buyer has 48 hours to submit payment via E-Bay.
Thank you for looking, good luck, and please stay safe.
