Vintage OHIO Art Pottery WEIGHTED Scotty DOG Door Stop Antique Drip Glaze CUTE

Description

This delightful ca. 1915-1930 art pottery doorstop measures 6 1/2" tall x 5 3/4" x 4" overall and is molded of buff clay with drippy colored accents.  He is filled with plaster or cement of some sort to give him heft (he weighs over 3 pounds) and his glaze has pleasing crazing with no cracks, chips or losses.  He looks like an Ohio piece to me...there are no marks.  You will note a flaw from firing visible from the underside: I have taken a close-up.  If you know the maker, feel free to chime in.
